This brand new yacht from the world’s largest catamaran builders, Fountaine Pajot of France, is joining the Barefoot fleet in July 2008 after launch and a trans-Atlantic sea trial.
As an owner’s version, this yacht is ideal for 2 to 3 couples, or for a family group. The yacht boasts an open and airy main saloon with an aft-facing semi-circular galley. A large opening hatch combined with the off-centre door turns the galley into an integral part of the cockpit, a great advantage in the Caribbean’s warm climate. The galley is located to port, leaving ample space for the table and seating, with room for up to 8 guests. The main saloon has lots of locker space and the main instrument panel has been incorporated into a user-friendly façade. The centrally-accessed cockpit features a rest area close to the helm station, as well as a dining area which can also comfortably seat 8 guests. To reduce noise levels in the aft cabins, the engines have been installed in the aft holds which are independent from the cabins – and allow easy access for maintenance. The generous sail
plan assures superlative performance and the deck lay-out is uncluttered,
even the genoa winches being mounted to keep the cockpit as clear as possible. |
