and Caribbean, 2 queen-sized beds, air conditioning, cable TV,
private bathroom, fridge and coffee-maker. Furnishings are Oriental
and the apartment leads to a large veranda with views across the
Bequia Channel. After working hours, this veranda is for the private
use of apartment guests – there are hammocks, cane furniture
and friendly (and talkative) Amazon parrots. $ 99 for 2 guests,
$ 154 for 4 guests, including taxes.
Beachcombers Hotel - a small, very friendly,
family-run hotel set in lush, tropical gardens, and on the beachfront.
The hotel is a 15 minute drive from the airport and 10 minutes
from our marina. There’s a small pool, restaurant and bar
and comfortable rooms with air conditioning and cable television.
